Description
Trace® & Trace 2® are both leak detectors. Trace 2® is compatible with all AC, refrigeration and hydraulic systems while Trace® is compatible with mineral oil systems.

Trace® is compatible with mineral oil systems only.
How to Use
Measure: Add 1/8 fluid ounce (3.75 ml) of Trace® or Trace 2® directly to the refrigerant of applicable system for every 1 lb. of refrigerant in the system. Trace® is only compatible with mineral oil systems and Trace 2® is universal for all AC, refrigeration and hydraulic systems.
Use: Use Highside’s Economy Injector to charge Trace® and Trace 2® into an operating system.
For Large Systems: Trace® or Trace 2® can be added with a standard oil charging pump for large systems. Add Trace® or Trace 2® directly to the refrigerant and not to the crankcase.
For Small Systems: Insert Trace® or Trace 2® in a charging hose and connect one end to the low-side access valve on the compressor and the other end to a source of refrigerant. Purge both ends of the hose and tighten the fittings. Open the valve at the refrigerant source. Now with the source of refrigerant above the access valve, crack the access valve slowly and force Trace® or Trace2® into the system with refrigerant.*
*Note: Trace® or Trace 2® is a liquid and will sludge the compressor if charged too quickly.
